Cowboys O scoring at a historic pace

How does that make it historic?

Impressive? Sure. Notable, yeah, for now. Historic? No.

Is it important to history? No.
Does it have historical impact? No.
Will it be remembered forever? No.
Is it going to change things in the NFL due to it's significant? No.

Not historic.
Everything you just stated is subjective.

Its "importance to history" is subjective.

Someone who doesn't give a **** about football might not consider the 1972 Dolphins season "historic" either. An NFL fan/historian would obviously disagree.

I'm sorry this idiotic and pointless little crusade of yours failed so spectacularly.

If you are going to post nonsense I'm pretty sure you are supposed to include something moronic like THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

So....nothing is historic then? The word has no meaning at all? What's the point of the word again?

Objectively, the 1972 season is important and historic (in the context of football). Don't be ridiculous.

I've corrected to 7..

2020 to 2026. Pay attention.
no the article is from 2000 to now so you practice what you preach...

"
Through four games, the Cowboys offense ranks fifth in points per drive out of every offense since 2000"

one of the teams is from 2007 so even your revision of the wrong years is wrong...

Yes, and I pointed out that the top 4 were pretty recent, within the last 7 years. Because, along with a lot of other things, it points to this not being anything "historic."

This is all silly nonsense though, it's not even talking about seasons or anything, it's just what some teams happened to do in the first 4 games of the season. Rest of the season isn't important. Just those 4 games. Second 4? Irrelevant. Third 4? Same. Just uselessness.

Wondering how many more pages wlil be spent on debating the meaning of the word "historic" and the number of years between 2000, 2020 and 2026, all stemming from a fun Twitter stat.

i dont think many as it doesn't straight up say Dak is good or bad or better than Romo... lol

Who argued it wasn't good or impressive?

We're talking about the word "historic". People here throw it around flippantly about everything.

Doesn't matter if it's something that has happened many times before. As long as it's near one extreme or the other, it suddenly becomes "historic."

I miss when words had actual meaning.
No different than the ubiquitous use of the word "elite." This term is thrown about to describe players for no other reason than they accumulated a bunch of stats, easily achievable in today's NFL fantasy football environment. It used to apply to players who won Super bowls and/or changed the game.
