Cowboys Offer 'Meaningful' Micah Parsons Contract Proposals Per Sources

I wonder if he would agree to it if everyone on this board donated their paycheck to his charity everytime they were wrong on a topic they posted about on here?
In who's eyes ? Who's deciding who's wrong or right? You? See, the beauty of a fan message board, we can bounce ideas off each other in fun, and debate without taking it too seriously because honestly, most of what we say will never happen. But it is entertaining as heck. Micah himself promises said hometown discount. Not the fans. Not the team. So since he's in a giving mood for Charity lol, why stop there? Just donate a paycheck when he does his Houdini act. We week to week folks are too busy surviving to donate a check. It's not even close to the same thing. Your smart, and I think you understand this.

I don't want him to take less. Micah is the one who offered that. But the tongue in cheek thing to donate a paycheck was just that. We just want him to be that dude. We know he has it in him. All the talk, all the social media stuff is meaningless without the results that one constantly promotes on ones podcast. His own words are to be taken seriously, right? We are only holding him to his word.
Except for every pass rusher sacks come in bunches. You can trace 75% of their sacks to 25% of their games.

dallas would be dumb to sign him before the draft in the case that a trade and sign option pops up. If you give him a 40MM contract now its locked in and reduces the flexibiltiy.

Wait until after the draft, at least give yourself options
Trading him would be the dumbest thing Dallas has done in a long time

All depends on the compensation - if they got the 4th pick from NE and Milton plus another top 100 pick, I would do it in the blink of an eye.

You can't have the greater portion of your salary cap wrapped up in three players and expect to be competitive. Paying micha 40mm a year is going to mean he has scrubs around him and no depth.

Ok. Until we hold All-In Jones to his word its meaningless

Have to laugh at the fans who want Micah to take a discounted deal to help the team. We just watched tier one free agency come and go with $50mil in cap room and they added ZERO impact players. Micah would be a moron to give this team a discount knowing that they'll never use that money to upgrade the roster.
100% its laughable to think these players dont see what is happening...its like getting recruited for a job to a company that is run like crap...you gona take a pay cut to work there and take the heat? ..hell no.

That would be a terrible trade. You get Carter who will probably be 70% of Parsons, a backup QB and a lottery ticket for DMVP caliber player

You're basically asking him to be at his best on every play in every game. That's not realistic. He could be brilliant on 50 plays and if he wasn't brilliant on the 51st, someone on here would be calling out the Houdini act. I think you understand this. Maybe Micah is arrogant enough to think he deserves 50 million a year and sees 40 million as a discount. Maybe he just made the comment tongue in cheek. Maybe we shouldn't take every single word that athletes utter or tweet, seriously. Maybe we can just let these guys play. Maybe we don't put every little thing they say and do under a microscope and forensically examine it in order to link it to why this team fails on a yearly basis. The problem isn't Micah. The problem is us. For reading, watching and listening and giving every little fire the oxygen it needs.

You see the problem with message boards is, people are having more fun being taking an extreme stance rather than a balanced one.

And no, you wouldn't want me as judge. Everyone would be broke including me.

Hey man, it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Jerry is gonna screw this one up more than he already has. “Team friendly” is a dead giveaway that he’s about to botch it.

No one is going to trade and sign for him, the asking price is way too high like 3 firsts. Otherwise it is going to be the same ole' same ole' if they wait. First they don't sign him this season, they franchise him year after at a crazy amount. Then he signs a contract for 60 million a year and the team intentionally sandbags the cap to say they can't sign any free agents. Yuck.

What are the agents asking for?

Cause that is what it will be.

I think Micah already answered his price when he said he'd be the happiest man with 40 million a year...Give him a 3-4 year deal, then after his banged up body breaks down, trade him...

Micah offered. Not the employer. If it goes sour, it's of his own choosing.

He has promised to be at his best. Shall we take him at his word? See, it's not the fans expecting the world from him, it's his own expectations he has laid out . He talks a lot about what he will do and expect. We fans are only taking him at his word. Maybe he should tamp down the rhetoric. I however, understand he's human and no one can be elite every game. But realistically speaking, is it alot to ask for him to impact a big ball game to give us a chance to possibly win? If he's getting the bag, shouldn't we raise our expectations as well? I mean HE DOES,so why shouldn't the fans. Hopefully these negotiations go quickly and get done so we can hone in on football and the draft.
