You make a good case for the rest of the season being cancelled and the Cowboys being awarded the Lombardi in October with no Super Bowl.

Having all the injured back on offense is huge, but credit this defense. Takeaways have a way of giving a team momentum.

And another accomplishment is that we dont have garrett as hc for the second consecutive year !! :oldcouple:

well, we don’t have all our offense back yet. Still got our tackle and receiver coming back soon. The takeaways do help with momentum and energy but more importantly steals a possession from the other team and provides us with an extra possession. With the way offense is played today that 2 possession swing is huge.

The Cowboys get another Lombardi. What's Debbie downer about that? You just like to pretend to be tough by telling me to shut up. ;)
I'm may 10-15 minutes away from you, its not hard to prove the tough part.

Another Lombardi would be great but you're being a pissy pants about someone being optimistic

In before someone points out we have the 31st rated pass defense....

Just remember TB is worst, then you have us, Baltimore, Seattle and KC....I see a theme!!!

Exciting year, this is so much more fun

not a bad start but 17 games tend to meet the laws of averages.. what comes up must come down :)

cant expect this fiery pace to continue..

the buzz saw of playing NE on that crap outdoor field against a team who likes to control the clock..

BB is run first heavy 2-3 TE set type offense the TE will light up our safety's and LBs if we don't know how to cover especially the soft middles i saw against giants..

add in rookies security blankets are RB check downs and TEs..

expect low scoring close game 20-13

This team reminds me a lot of the 2016 team.

Except Dak is clearly a better QB now and is much more than just a bus driver for the run game. I believe that 2016 was Dak's best year up until this year. I believe that if he keeps playing the way he currently is that 2021 will by far be the best season we've seen from Dak.

If we could have somehow had this version of Dak on that 2016 team we win the Super Bowl that year.

Its a nice start giving good positive vibes and good momentum. There is a lot of ball to be played and the trend needs to be kept. I like the depth and the ability covered for injured players but not all positions can be covered so lets hope the team stays healthy and I think the trend can continue.

When healthy this offense cannot be stopped. Just to many weapons all over the field to game plan for.

Defense will and continue to be the achilles heel of this team. Granted they have played great so far however it is a long season. When we did play two good offenses they moved the ball pretty easily

What is exciting is we are entering week 6, and both sides of the ball will and should only get better with reps and players returning from injury\suspension.

On the offensive side of the ball, both Collins and Gallup should be back after the bye (week 8).

On defensive side of the ball, Tank, Wilson, Armstrong and Galimore will be back.

This team should be only getting better in the weeks to come.

I'd like to take a look at stats for our WRs, at beginning of the year i thought we'd have bigger WR numbers in this Kellen offense, but now how our offense is turning out so versatile and spread out contribution, now i know it's not gonna be Holt/Bruce, Harrison/Wayne, Moss/Carter like receiving numbers ...

Schultz has become Dak's underneath security blanket, especially with those soft zone spaces.

Just keep Dak healthy,.. otherwise that's what guaranteed to stop this offense...!

and we have no Andy Dalton, to help get us by while Dak heals up.
If Prescott gets a Daniel Jones like concussion,.. and we have to go to Cooper Rush to save the day ? ..(ugh, not good!)
