The issue is in over the last 25 years in 14 playoff games, the cowboys have only made it past the first game in 4 tries, and then losing the next one.

It seems like anytime they make progress, they end up taking 2 steps back for whatever reason.

Then, at the end of their 3rd season where they went 12-5, you have the Green Bay game where the team and fans were decimated.

The cowboys rarely suck donkey Richard over back to back years, it's just their lack of putting a "good" run to the superbowl that dismays fans. Sad reality is they haven't lived up to their past reputation when a lot of young fans can even say they saw it.

I think a lot of fans would rather have a superbowl win with a decade of mediocracy on the low end of the win loss scale than no superbowl win at all.
