Cowboys Officially Shut Up Emmit!

The Cowboys win over the Raiders moves their record to 8-3 and officially shuts down Emmit 7-9 prediction. I know we all didnt agree with him and it actually looked like he was on to something after the Denver lost but the Cowboys have now won 6 out of 7 games since then and now go into the December with a chance to put a lock on the division title.

Emmit will forever live in the hearts of Cowboy fans and the future Hall of Famer is truly a living legend. But his career as a sports analysis ( his stint with ESPN was dreadful at best) sucks. While everyone else was eating turkey on Thanksgiving, Emmit was getting full off crow! I wonder was it fried or smoked?

Agreed. I would think that like a lot of ex Cowboys. Emmit is happy with the team doing well. We still need to win a few more games to really make his prediction completely wrong though.

I like to believe that Emmitt knew exactly what he was doing by making that prediction. He wanted to get the 'Boys to step up. Maybe I'm just a glass half full guy (of what is another question).

Now, we have 5 brutal games coming up, and if we perform like we did in last 2 years, then we might not be that far off his prediction anyway.

I think the makeup of this team is better, but they still need to prove it. At least they are FULLY AWARE of the perception of the team during this time, thanks in no small part to the Emmitt's and a number of others.

I'd love to see 3 and 2 down the stretch. I just don't want to see any silly collapses. The young players on this team continue to improve. Austin, Spencer, Bennett, Choice, Jones, Free, Ball, Bowen (did he ever get a ton of playing time), etc are all making significant contributions. PLUS the bad attitudes, me first, gangster wanna-be's are gone. Should make for a somewhat mentally tougher team. On paper.

Now for putting it on the field. Giants are ripe for a beating in 10 days. They are not the same team that beat us since the playoff game and their superbowl run.

Funny stuff, but you have to admit that Emmitt is mighty brave for going after broadcasting gigs when he knows everyone is laughing at him. He has enough money to get a personal grammar tutor, but I guess he thinks he doesn't need it. His Hall of Fame speech will be interesting, but I'll be to emotional to give a flip about any speaking errors.
