LB Christian Sam is a camp body journeyman. He's played for the Patriots, Dolphins, 49ers, Lions and USFL Bandits and Breakers.

As for K Lirim Hajrullahu, he's a great signing. Cowboys should have kept him last year. Good to see him back. Lirim should be able to help, plus give good competition, to rookie UDFA K Jonathan Garibay. I would prefer to keep rookie Garibay since he has the stronger leg, but he's also inexperienced. Should be a good summer competition between both kickers.

I hope Lirim works out for us, need a dependable kicking game.

I like Lirim, but I also like Garibay. Lirim and Garibay are very similar: they make most FGs inside 45 yards, plus extra points. On rare occasions they will miss 1 or 2, but usually are very accurate with short to intermediate FGs. It's the 45+ yarders which both miss once in a while. It should be a very good kicking competition, something we have not had in a very long time.

Never understood why we don't pay attention to the K position. For every Dan Bailey there's a ton of Brett Mahers. How many camp bodies do we really need with today's rules preventing them to hit?

Looks like he beat out Malik Jefferson who was supposed to try out today as well

Camp comp 2022 will be higher than we have seen in many years.
Several positions up for grabs, starters beware.
