Need another pass rusher inside, both Crawford and Irving have potential but neither are proven. Still need to be pushed. Plus Marinelli loves to send his rushmen in waves. Add true monster next to Crawford/Irving with the quick twitch that Marinelli covets, this DL could be a good one.

That missing inside piece is Andrew Billings IMO. Love Rankins, even Hargrave, but both are more 3 techs who could also play 1 tech. Billings is a brute of a 1 tech with the quickness to also play 3 tech. Billings is the one guy who I can see making an immediate improvement on all the young guys on the starting DL.

There's only one problem with your premise, none of the players you mention are proven in the pros. I would take a pro with
experience over a rookie trying to come into the NFL and learn the pro game anyday.

He was a steal! He showed more promise then our whole Dline outside of Dlaw last year. Very excited about this player and he has a motor!

So would I, but this is a very deep and talented DT draft. Cowboys can do both. Not too many elite 3 techs are going to be available in FA, but some very good options at 1 Tech that should not break the bank.
