I'm sure the haters will have some way of explaining this away, despite the fact that it's hard to score 24 or more points for 7 straight weeks - as proven by the fact that no one has done it during this stretch - but somehow the only person to do it is.... Dak Prescott.

But we'll hear:

"his defense helped him out" ............. Everybody gets a few breaks in this league, but overall the facts and numbers can't be ignored.

"he's thrown more picks than had game played"........... I don't care. I just like points scored. The only thing that matters in the end.

That means other areas of this team are compensating for inconsistent QB play. Don't believe me here are Dak's numbers.

  • YDS
    1,847
    28th
  • TD
    14
    Tied-18th
  • INT
    9
    Tied-23rd
  • QBR
    52.4

The Dak-stans are going to be mad at you for this response. You're right, though.

Are you really listing counting stats when he has played 5 less games than everyone else?

I'm sorry is you don't understand why this is really dumb.

Dak Prescott. Would hold onto the football and be afraid to release it. Well, that’s what many fans would think. Now he’s releasing the football and giving his receivers an opportunity to make a play and he still being criticized. He’s not going to get credit, he’s damned if he does. He’s damned if he doesn’t.

You’re free to start as many Dak threads as you like but, Damn, I can’t imagine what it would be like to have another Dude in the forefront of my mind like you have. Not a good look

. The team is 6-1 since Dak returned and is averaging 35 points a game. As long as that continues I could care less about his stats. I have been reading on this site for years that stats don't matter.. Only wins and losses. When did it change?

It changed when you made Cooper Rush smear threads while we were in the middle of a 4-1 run with him at QB.

You made an entire thread dogging Rush for completing a 4th down pass for a 1st down simply because the throw wasn't perfect. Complete with video's of the pass and everything.

Just winning didn't matter to you then.

LOL!.. You're just going to keep trying to peddle this nonsense aint ya? I made one thread about the MORONS' reaction to ONE THROW. "Perfect throw" "Hit him in stride." "A throw Dak could never make" were descriptions I read and I called the morons on it and some of you are still mad about it three months later cause ya got caught and called out. Which frankly makes me smile.

Nobody's mad.

You asked when it changed and I told you.

It never changed for me personally, but "Winning is all that matters" changed for some of ya when ya'll made it known how much you hated going 4-1 with Cooper Rush.

I think Rush was the savior of our season, once Dak went down not many gave Dallas a chance in hell to win, season over. Yet Rush came in and keep things together and yes 4-1. Fact you don't want to hear is the offense was not moving the ball much as Cowboys were towards the bottom of the league in 3rd down conversions, our redzone offense was also ranked very low. These stats matter and have increased as expected with dak return. Cowboys are 6-1 sine Dak returned and now this team is ranked toward to top in areas like 3rd down and redzone. You holler no one is givng Rush credit? without him this season was toast but by the same token you refuse to do the same with Dak. You really are a hypocrite, your own personal hate of Prescott is just pathetic

Nope.. never hated on Rush for a second. Enjoyed the wins.. gave him credit for his fine play while noting his limitations and thus the unsustainability of that level of play. Nothing more, nothing less.

But this is good.. it means that the next time Dak puts up 350 yards and 3 TDs in a loss you have to come here and commend his play.. because.. you know.. consistency.

I am already on record stating that I want Dak to play more conservatively, take fewer chances and quit trusting his receivers to fight through tight coverage. Cause they have let him down far too many times this year. I would rather seem him tuck it and run for a few yards than force those throws. Ironically these are the throws that people criticized for not being willing to make for years. Now that he is making them he's throwing more interceptions.. However the offense he is leading is the best in the NFL. So while I hate the occasional turnover, I happily accept the more explosive scoring. I just need them to balance it out and find that happy medium. Maybe only score 30 points a game and never turn the ball over instead of 35 a game taking more risk. If they can find that, they're going to the Super Bowl.
