It’s almost like the coaching staff is overcompensation for Zeke.

Zeke is great, no doubt, but Morris and even Smith has looked fantastic but we don’t trust them like Zeke to carry the offense.

It may not work but I would love for us to keep running the ball until the opposing defense has to make adjustments and then try to pass. It’s like Linehan is the only one that’s been slowing down our rushing game...because he is thinking that opposing defenses are going to “eventually stop the run anyways so let’s just pass with our struggling QB”.

Dak may just need one methodical drive where he makes a few throws to turn his confidence around.

Morris and Smith have looked nothing like Zeke. It's night and day. He is this team and is Daks Robin.

Defense holds and holds...and eventually the dam breaks.

For everyone hating on the defense for giving up points late....weren't you the same people who were championing how the offense protected them? That was a testament to Dak right?

So when the narrative holds Dak is awesome and Romo shouldn't get the ball back. When he doesn't hold up his end of the bargain it's on the defense and coach for lack of adjustments?

This is dumb.

YPC:

Rod Smith: 4.5
Alfred Morris: 6.2
Zeke Elliot: 4.1

Dak is holding back the offense. He is missing throws and missing open receivers.

Romo almost had an orgasm when he finally hit Dez with a back shoulder throw. A throw Rivers made 5 or 6 times today. Routine stuff.

And here comes the stats.......sigh.....open your eyes, Zeke is OUR only weapon on offense! It's not about rushing average. He changes everything because he can take it to the house at any second. Dak is struggling and this scheme sucks.

If Dak can't succeed with a lead back average 6.2 ypc and the backup rb averaging 4.5 ypc.....then he isn't who we thought he was. And we're letting him of the hook.

I don’t disagree with that at all.

My point is the coaching staff seems more likely to air it out in situations where we would choose to run the ball. Take the Packers playoff game, we look we may have been blown out but we never waivered from the run...and came back and tied the game and Dak was outstanding in my opinion.

I know defenses look at us differently without Zeke but we should be making them pay for they instead of letting them dictate our gameplan.

This isn't rocket science.

Offense can't function without Zeke. And we have NO vertical passing game.

Defense sucks in general but super sucks without Lee.

Result = crushed 3 games in a row.

We've been exposed. Badly. Sadly.

I seriously think this is the first time in the history of the NFL that if a team is missing their starting RB, their offense literally cant get a first down.

I have never heard of a pro team being non-competitive to the point of being crushed week in and week out because their RB is missing. We are not talking about losing your franchise QB, we are talking about losing a RB and the team literally cannot compete anymore.

Can anybody remember a similar situation, where losing a RB literally makes a pro team non-competitive?

It is absolutely mind boggling.

During the Chiefs game we looked like a playoff caliber team, at the very least.

Now, it's hard to imagine us beating anyone, and that is not hyperbole.

As a fan it's not even mildly amusing or entertaining to watch. Just getting blown up series after series after series.
