Cowboys Over-Performed?

So in the first 10 seconds, Wiley says Belichick is playing human chess better than any other coach in history. In other words, no one is coaching at his level. Yes, you need really good players to run your system but Wiley says what we have all been saying. Coaching still matters. You seem to think it doesn't. You seem to think that Belichick isn't "playing human chess like any other coach in history", rather Jason Garrett could do the same thing.

Better yet, what do you think Marcellus Wiley would say if you asked him if Jason Garrett could repeat what Belichick has done?

And in the second video, Warner says again, in the first 15 seconds that Bill Belichick is probably the greatest coach that ever coached. But according to you, Garrett is roughly his equal. Again, what do you think Warner would say if you posed the question to him - would Jason Garrett have had the same success as Belichick in NE?

LOL. Come on, dude.

Yet still the player is more responsible in their eyes.
Again, nobody knows. Is McVay where he is with Miami? Maybe, maybe not. You're only looking at their situation where they are now, in a hypothetical ,who knows.

Yeah, I think we can make a pretty fair assumption that if Jason Garrett had coached in NE for the last 19 years, he would not have won 5 SBs and coached in 13 AFC conference champ games.

And I bet if you polled a crap ton of football experts they'd wonder who the fool was that even tried to bring up that comparison.

Lol. No you dont...lol you're talking Bs. Especially giving the same setup.

And no one has really ever suggested that you don't need good players. Of course Bill Belichick doesn't win 5 SBs if he had Dre11 playing QB for him all that time.

But the two videos you linked pretty much undermined your point. Every guy in those videos claimed Belichick was an elite coach, likely the greatest ever, which would run completely counter to your overall point that Jason Garrett is that good too.

What do you think each one of those guys' responses would have been if you asked them to compare Garrett and Belichick? You think every one of those guys would say, "you know what? Yeah, Garrett absolutely could have been as successful as Belichick in NE............"

LOL.

1) Unless Brady plays defense as well, it's unlikely the 2014, 2016 and 2018 Cowboys teams win SBs. Why? Because in all three of those seasons, it wasn't the offense that necessarily lost those games. It was the defense. In 2014, our offense moved the ball on GB, but the defense became porous in the 2nd half. In 2016, Prescott played really well but again, the defense got shredded by Aaron Rodgers. This year? The defense got mauled by the Rams, giving up 270 yards rushing. So this idea that we were Tom Brady away from three Super Bowls is really far fetched when you look at how we lost all our playoff games.

2) Your entire premise again seems to be that head coaching doesn't matter. That if you plop any guy into NE, whether that be Garrett or Chan Gailey or Johnny Hightops from Permian High, they would have reached similar success as Belichick did there. In other words, basically all coaches are the same, some just get lucky and get better situations than others. That's patently absurd. I mean are you really trying to argue that all coaches are basically equal?

It's utterly preposterous to suggest Jason Garrett would have mimicked the success of Belichick in NE.

Brady don't have to play defense , in 2014, replacing Romo with Brady helps the defense . 2016, replace Dak(rookie) with Bady they win. Replace Dak this year, a better defense . They win.

Hahahaha. There is ZERO CHANCE that most people in the NFL would agree with you that Jason Garrett could be as successful as Bill Belichick if he had coached in New England the last 19 years.

ZERO.

You are so in the tank for Garrett at this point there is no bottom of the barrel for you in terms of this discussion. There is no place you won't go, no matter how embarrassing it is, to try to argue that Jason Garrett is really one of the best coaches in the league.

That hypothetical I posted was a layup and dude threw the ball in the stands

It's not embarrising, because nothing you said is a definite, and to say Brady wouldn't make those teams twice as good is foolish

Doesnt mean they know. Or would be right. It'll be a guess. After Cleveland, i bet nobody would've thought BB would be who he is either....lol

Except three years after landing in NE, his 8th season in the league, he has a SB win under his belt.

After 8 years, Garrett still can't get beyond a divisional round game.

I'll give you credit for sticking with such an idiotic argument though. Most guys would try to spin their way out of this but you've held the line and even doubled down on the idea that Jason Garrett is basically the equal of Belichick.
