The truth is jerry doesnt care what type of person his players are, or what they do, carry guns suspected of murder, sell drugs etc.
As long as they play good, he doesnt care. Jerry has no morals himself, so he doesnt see the harm.

I don't care if he is carrying guns as long as he is legal with them. But the pot thing is in-excusable. Number 1 it is illegal in Texas and number 2 he will get suspended if testing positive!

So he is an idiot at this point in his life!

his response was in reference to Cowboys image, which directly impacts perceptions and leads to money....so he is doing damage control that impacts the cowboys image.

and therefore why we are where we are, worried about image than winning.

and I agree, Jerry's morals are questionable.

I can't criticize Sam. But he's on the Cowboys and needs to learn what not to carry in his vehicle. And what not to do when carrying things you can get arrested for. But what he actually did was close to nothing.

A supervisor once told me something when I had my legs up on the desk because work was slow. He said, it's not what you do, it's how you look doing it. He was right. What Sam did was nothing odd or even racy. Just know how to do it.

One cannot help but laugh in disbelief at JJ's comments inferring the improvement of Sam Williams because he was not doing more than double the speed limit like the last time he got in trouble with the law.......much like one cannot help but laugh at the comments of members excusing or minimizing the behavior and extremely poor and dangerous judgment of Sam Williams.....then again I suppose that has to do with Sam Williams being a 2nd round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys and both JJand fans will happily overlook the actions of their own all while condemning similar actions of players from other teams.....the hypocrisy of all levels of members in this group that condone/excuse Williams' actions/behavior is a true indication of the lack of personal accountability or lack thereof rampant within society and speaks volumes of the low moral turpitude of so many.

I agree, I really have a problem with our owner and GM making light of a situation that potentially causes a key player to miss games.

If any leader on the team, ala Dak, Parsons, Martin, or even Mike McCarthy made that exact joke fans would be in an uproar. But the only voice in the organization that matters is making that joke and it's "Jerry sticking up for his players, or Jerry is just being Jerry ". No player or coach can be a leader on this team with Jerry acting this way. No players or coach can lead by example if the man signing the checks is acting this way.

Can you imagine if Dak pr McCarthy said the exact same thing? This would be a 40 page thread about it.
