Okay draftniks,

Try to be realistic here. Using the current draft projections and mocks, give us 3 names you would like to see the Cowboys pick from at 17.

Again, they key is the be realistic. For example, I LOVE Clemson hybrid LB/S Isaiah Simmons, but realize there is almost no chance we can draft him.

Here are some draft boards to help you out:

My Group of Three:
1. Javon Kinlaw DT South Carolina

2. Grant Delpit S LSU

I like Kinlaw of your group.

For me, my group of three is:

Kinlaw
Chaisson
McKinley (I like him better than Delpit, especially if what they are looking for is more of a SS type to play alongside Woods).

Chaisson is a name I hope we consider but that's because I am bizarrely obsessed with edge rushers. We have Lawrence but after that it's a bunch of questions at DE. Quinn and Bennett are FAs. Armstrong appears to be a decent back up. Other than that? Gregory?

Gross Matos just doesn't pass the eye test for me. Looks slow and sluggish.

Any games I need to go look at that could change my mind?

Not bad... I wouldn't be mad with any of these three. All are definite needs!

Javon Kinlaw
Tee Higgins
Xavier McKinney - I prefer him to Delpit because Delpit's tackling this past year reminded me too much of Xavier Woods.

1. AJ Epenesa
2. Henry Ruggs III
3. Javon Kinlaw

Kinlaw or Epenesa would be happy with either. I have read where they compare Epenesa to Joey Bosa and Kinlaw to Chris Jones. If they turn out to be like them either one would be a welcome addition

I haven't dipped too far into the underclassmen.

1. Neville Gallimore - I get why people prefer Kinlaw, but I prefer Gallimore at the moment.
2. Grant Delpit - Xavier McKinney has the same grade.
3. Trevon Diggs - Not a very inspiring pick, but I have no faith in hitting on a CB after him.

Gallimore should be available. But I expect him to shoot up draft boards.

I am not seeing what you guys are seeing in Gallimore. He looks like a 3rd rounder to me. I'm not big on taking 23-year old, redshirt seniors that high in the draft either.

He has some Trysten Hill to him where he is so eager to penetrate (cough, cough selfish) that he doesn't keep his gap integrity and even when he does, he's a bit of a pushover against the run. He's like a lesser version of Maliek Collins to me.

I like the MATOS kid , maybe more than most. I would pick Winfield,Matos or Rashard Lawrence..or all of the above lol. Those 3 dudes make us better RIGHT NOW. If I had to pick 1 guy..its not Delpit...its Winfield.

Agreed - he has the look of a mid rounder.

The Sooner defense didn’t have many bright spots, but Murray and Gallimore were stout. Those two succeeded in spite of not having great players surrounding them.

Beware of big plays from guys on loaded teams that make them look a lot better than they really are.

I like Murray a lot.

Just don't see it with Gallimore.
