Cowboys players are fighting (by winning) for Mike McCarthy

It turns out that they are better than we thought.
They are who we thought they were. It's easy to fight when there is no pressure. I predicted they'd win 8 games. Looks like I might be right. This team is so predictable.

McCarthy's teams seen to start slow finish stronger in the regular season. I wonder why it takes 6-8 games for them to start figuring things out?

Nothing is easy in the NFL.

i thought the issue was McCarthy has to get them deep into playoffs,.. does Dak injury make this an exception ..?

So you solidified my previous response: it is about selfishness and money, eh? I am right. You are wrong. Get over it.
You claimed wanted to play hard to save MM's job. Let's not try to deflect from the dumb argument you laid out as the premise of this thread.

Perhaps . When on internet stuff always gets taken out of context
Agree 100%....its like saying i would piss on somebody if they were on fire.

In that example it's an act of kindness, but if I did that exact same thing to somebody who wasn't on fire it would be an insult.

As the sports writer in the movie "Slapshot" said, " I'm just trying to capture the spirit of the thing"

That was when Jerry decided to skip the offseason. The front office screwed this team completely!
Looks like they decided to not try to win in 2024 to give them more to play with in 2025.

Why do you always make excuses for this front office? There is no plan going on here. No team skips the offseason completely for the sake of next year. Their free agent strategy has been a complete joke over the years and hit an all time low in 24. Imagine being the only team in the entire league with absolutely nothing to look forward to when free agency begins in March? They will lose more players this year and they didn't do enough to make up for that last year.

Where was the fight the first half of the season? We were getting our doors blown off every other week when the season was still in the balance. We were a complete embarrassment. Now all of a sudden with the season over and the pressure off the team is fighting and winning despite a ton of injuries. Good luck trying to figure this team out.
It's kind of obvious if you can read between the lines.
The inspiration has been manifested since Daks departure.

It's not an excuse, it's an observation of what they did. That joke as you call it actually gave them some decent value with the free agents they did sign.

Most teams show a lot of fight when they lose their starting QB and their coach is on the hot seat and other players are getting opportunities. We saw a lot of fight with the team in 2010 when Jon Kitna took over for an injured Romo and Wade Phillips was fired. A lot of players were battling for their jobs then and they are now. There’s a number of expiring contracts at the end of this season. Some of you are completely blinded by your hatred for Dak.

:hammer::hammer:

100% correct.

Each and every player is playing for his individual future, regardless of how they feel about their coach, imho. If they are grateful for the way that MM is treating them, it's all the more reason to do their best. Reading anything more than that into the situation is simply overthinking things. Cooper Rush is performing well, much to his own credit, as well. His future contracts should reflect that fact, once this season is history.

What decent value? They don't win anything, they can't get over the hump and are completely outclassed when they do make the playoffs just like last January. Then even after that they proceeded to do nothing.

They are winning now.
