I looked up the USA Today article. It seems like it was written just after the draft. I guess they ranked us low because Mike McCarthy is on the last year of his contract and we resigned Zeke and made few other additions.

Only time I read them was at hotels!

Discovered The USA Today ironically while working for Wackenhut strike force doing a strike on the Akron Beacon Journal back in the early 80's. Saw a guard reading one on the transport to the job from the hotel and the next day I bought one. Honestly getting through 12 hour shifts was hard enough but this paper at that point in time was a wonderful thing as I read it front to back several times a shift. I was assigned to the area where the ABJ was innovating modernized equipment that was going to take away many jobs thusly a strike ensued. The USA Today was my reading cryptonite until they raised prices to a dollar then I was out.
