Victor Butler back to practice. No sign of DeMarcus Ware yet.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Bunch of bundled up Cowboys out here. Not Dan Connor. In short sleeves and shorts. lol. Bunch of white skin showing.

Cook, Livings, Ladouceur in shorts, too. Phillips, Lissemore, Poppinga in short sleeves. Damn. #toughguys

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins
DL Monte Taylor was signed to cowboys practice squad.

Clarence Hill ‏@clarencehilljr
Dez Bryant out here in the cold at practice with short sleeves. Said its a mental thing. He is ready for the game.

Charean Williams ‏@NFLCharean
No sound system. Cowboys won't be able to handle the noise. LOL

Do it at practice not in the game, wear the gear you need so that your not fighting the cold just the Commanders.

I think I would take that out of the players hands and tell the equipment manager to make sure all players are wearing the foot ware to deal with the turf in Washington.

Maybe the players choose their own cleats. If that's the case, there's not much the equipment guy can do.

Well then that would change. Players should not be in charge and I sure as heck would not leave that up to them. Not given the conditions they are likely to face. It is only the players choice if the team allows it to be.

Read this and had a really strong 'deja vu' experience with the NFC Championship game in San Francisco in the early 90's. The field was described almost the same back then, and it lived up to it's billing. Didn't stop JJ and the 'Boys, though!

Unless they're practicing on a crappy field it won't be the same anyway. Whether it's worth it to change them up in practice may be more of a personal preference for the players because each player and especially each position has different requirements. I wouldn't want them practicing in cleats that are wrong for the practice field all week just because they're right for the game turf.

The players shouldn't be in charge of wearing the equipment they're most comfortable in? Okay...
