jones was pushed on manziel and he pretty much said QB isn't their focus in the 1st round but if the talent fell, then they would have options that would help the team. ie, trade down perhaps and gain more value.

he's not gonna take him. while he can't come out and say NO WE'RE NOT what he did indicate, to me imho, was that if johnny fell to 16 he feels there would be calls and they can gain more picks in the draft. that also isn't likely to happen either.

Why on earth does this team have pre-draft press conferences? What possible benefit is there to provide any truthful information two days before the draft?

I've been on twitter all week and the tweets from GM pressers have been filling my timeline. That said, pre-draft pressers aren't new. They're held every year. The only surprise is that the Cowboys haven't made some big announcement which dominates the news cycles leading up to it.
