Darby is faster and the superior man defender. But he's got work to do on being physical when it's time to hit.

I think PJ is better suited for Dallas, but there I like Darby better for man coverage

I agree. Darby is absolutely the better athlete and man defender but PJ is probably the best fit corner in this draft for Dallas. He's much more physical in press and in the run stop and is probably the best zone defender in the draft. Would love either one to be honest.

We met with Rowe before his pro day. Not sure if that counts as a "private workout" or not. But clearly we're potentially targeting a either a RB or FS/CB in the 2nd.

I agree we need a new 1-tech... but we all know the Cowboys don't value 1-tech and will probably get one in the 4th or 5th, who will probably come in and be serviceable (and I wouldn't be surprised if we go after either CJ Mosley (DT version) or Red Bryant to help there). Marinelli likes to get his pressure from the outside and wants his interior guys, especially the 1-tech, to be good run-stuffers, which he believes (somewhat rightfully so) we can get later in the draft and they likely will be 2 down players (he tends to shift Crawford inside, and have 3 DEs on the field in passing downs). No DE is going to come in and unseat Mincey (a 6 sack DE) so I am sort of glad we aren't looking there in the first. Beyond all of that... this are clearly the guys we are looking for on the first 2 days... and there are only 2 positions really shown, so there will likely be a guy drafted who isn't either of those positions.


Moving on, no real surprises... we are looking at CBs and RBs... arguably our two biggest needs.

When prospects come in for a visit, they can only be talked to and do a medical evaluation. They can not work out. Work out's have to be done at the combine or school campus. Phil Savage was taking about this yesterday on Siruis NFL.

I notice that too. I can't understand why Dallas has not scheduled a visit with DTs.

The team needs dlinemen more than defensive backs. Don't get me wrong the team needs corners but drafting talented front four prospects are more important.

I don't like what I'm reading so far. I'm hoping they bring in some DTs and DEs soon.

I think we are going to go CB/HB in round 1. CB/HB in round 2. A DE with moldable talent in the 3rd.

I think Darby in round 1. Coleman or Abdullah in round 2 (whichever one is there, I think Ajayi will go in the top of the 2nd and Coleman or Abdullah will likely go in the mid 2nd. And Danielle Hunter in round 3
