I went back and watched the game again, reviewing a number of plays. The Cowboys have some obvious problems.

Offense:

1. The offensive line didn't block. They were pushed backwards and fell for the twists and stunts the whole game.
2. The WRs and DEs can't block either.
3. Play calling - The Cowboys kept trying to run into 9 man fronts. That's really hard to do, especially when your offensive linemen can't block the defensive linemen one-on-one. When they see those 9 man fronts, why not throw deep? There have to be vacant spots in the secondary if guys are playing close to the line.
4. Dak did not see a lot of wide open receivers. Its true he was under pressure the whole game but a few times he had the time and he held the ball instead of throwing it. If he is not seeing receivers open that often, its a problem. I hope Dak is not looking at the pass rush. That can ruin a QB.
5. The Cowboys receivers have stone hands. Thompson tries to catch the ball against his body, so does Hurns sometimes. The ball bounces off their shoulder pads. In fact, a lot of Cowboys receivers seem to let the ball come to them instead of snatching it with their hands.
6. They miss Witten - a lot. In that two minute drill he gave Dak another target other than Beasely. They need to groom a TE to work better with Dak.
7. Dak had a weird game. He did some good things, but he also fumbled the ball away twice. The first was on a 4th down run but it wound up not hurting since Dallas defense stopped the skins after the fumble. The second was a killer - sack, fumble for TD. Dak held the ball too long in my opinion. He had a receiver open or he could have run the ball to the left if he made a quicker decision. His choice to spin into the end zone was really unforgivable.

Defense:

1. One problem that keep showing up, and this defense is already pretty good, but they are weak at safety. Kavon Frazier is a tough player but he misses a lot of tackles because he is either out of position or he takes a bad angle for the ball carrier.

2. The other problem that keeps showing up is the Cowboys do not have a guy in the middle who can clog up the LOS. Woods does a better than expected job, but there were some big holes opened by the Commanders OL yesterday. The Commanders drafted Allen and Payne in consecutive years and that DL is stout in the middle now. They could use a guy like that.
