Don't we have another 20 or so useless free agents in 2018 again? Just like this past fa season. Sign the one or two exceptions and bring in another deep class of Will McClay blood.

This team is going to be really, really good over the next 4 to 5 years. First time in my life that I believe they are one of the best ran teams in the league.

Can really take some swings in the 5th. Dont know how 2018 will look but there was some solid talent avaliable at those pics this year

That and the fact these picks are now tradeble is killer.

The difference in attitude around here next off season is going to be off the charts compared to the last few years. The threads leading up to FA will be a complete 180 and if you thought the threads leading up to the draft this year were optimistic, just wait.

He's just gotta stay healthy all year and actually make a play on the ball for a change. Don't know how comp picks work, but if he balls out for the Jets, maybe we get a 4th comp pick instead of a 5th for him.

I forget, can you carry forward comp picks if you reach the quota of 4?

Don't think so but if NFL is going to cap the comp picks then the max comp picks should be tiered up one round for every pick over the cap. Otherwise teams are penalized twice, lose the players and the picks.

Or Cowboys can just package some of these players they are planning to lose and move up in the draft. At one point I was hoping to lose Williams for big money so we could get a 3rd round comp but now I'm glad we kept him. Can always trade him later if need be.

It's encouraging to see we'll probably have four extra draft choices next year.

An extra fourth pick and three fifth rounders should surely help our cause.
