Cowboys rank first in rush defense!

and those stats are based off of 3 or 4 games. c'mon man a portis-less Commanders team, the eagles who throw 75% of the time

Take away the Washington game, and we're still the No. 1 rush defense.

Jacksonville has averaged 128.5 yards rushing against everyone else (at 4.1 YPC). We allowed 78 (at 2.4 YPC).

Tennessee has averaged 122.2 yards against everyone else (at 4.4 YPC). We allowed 78 (at 2.9 YPC).

Philadelphia has averaged 123.4 yards against everyone else (at 5.0 YPC). We allowed 52 (at 2.9 YPC).

And Houston has averaged 76.0 yards against everyone else (at 3.2 YPC). We allowed 34 (at 2.0 YPC).

I disagree.

That call by Zimmer or Parcells, whoever is calling the plays is a good call, but again, our defender was there but missed the Tackle on Mcnabb.

That was a gutsy call to me and something the offense wouldnt expect, which is what you want, but again, if you look at the play, I think it was Ellis, who was right in Mcnabb's face but didnt make the play.

I disagree. Yea it takes guts and in a lot of circumstances it might be a good call but given that game and the fact that McNabb is able to elude the rush and make you pay down the field and given the fact their offense was doing almost nothing all game, I think it is a terrible call. The Eagles offense was stagnet most of the game except for the few big plays and they were struggling to substain drives. Why give them a chance for another big play when they are struggling and you are starting to take control of the game? The Eagles got 17 points off turnovers and another 14 from 2 big bombs where Dallas had Watkins (our worse cover guy) covering thier fastest WR 1 on 1.

Hank Baskett isn't fast.

horrible stat, as our pass D is getting carved up in big moments skewing the statistics.

I agree. The huge plays against the Eagles have inflated this statistic. Minus those plays, the secondary is not too bad.

IF YOU CAN run the ball and stop the run they say you can control the game...all we need to do is to stop the blitz now...

We obviously have different philosophies about the defense, which is fine and doesnt mean you are right or I am right.

I thought it was good call at the time and the defense was asking taking a risk, in which it lost.

At some point you have to pin botched play on the players and not the defensive call.

Roy Williams, as well as Pat Watkins were in correct position on the Flea Ficker, they just didnt make the play.

On the Henry blitz, Ellis was in correct position but didnt make the play. And before that game, Watkins had been playing excellent, the only issue was his tackling, nothing was every mentioned about his pass coverage.

In one of Bill's PCs leading up to that game, or it may have been a week before, Bill said he was pleased with how the guy had played.

Exactly. And even though Watkins had initially taken himself out of position to cover Baskett properly, it was his poor tackling which allowed Baskett to score the touchdown. I'm expecting better from Watkins in the future.

Doesn't matter...Parcells sucks and Sean Payton should be our coach . Don't you know that championships aren't won by playing tough in the trenches , running the ball well , and stopping the run ? Championships can only be won in Dallas with fancy sacks stats and mobile QBs who run and pass for 300 plus yards a game and 5 TDs . Besides , the Cowboys season was over last week when they lost to Philly . Get on board man !
