Cowboys Receivers vs. Commanders Secondary

I'm in an argument with one of my skins friends and he seems to think DHall is the greatest. He cites the first game of the season when it seems Dallas just wanted to get force the ball into their new toy Dez's hands on a few of those smoke screens, that kind of got snuffed out. I remember the one where DHall couldn't bring Dez the manbeast to the turf. Considering he didn't play his senior year in college and this was his first real game in 2 years I thought he did more than ok.

We all know TO abused DHall, and same with Miles. I need some factual proof so I can cram it down my Commanders fans throat.:)

Does anyone know where I can find any metrics on Dallas WR's vs. Commanders seconday. Specifically Miles and Dez up against Deangelo Hall or any of the Commanders secondary. I know KC Joyner has a book where he charts YPA and other new statistical measures.

I really just want my friend to shut up and am coming to the Zone for a little support. Does anyone have anything to help back this up?:starspin

Dhall owned two teams last year: Dallas and Chicago. Very good at forcing turnovers, however, he does get burned a lot.

I don't know, I'd probably stay away from that one.

Maybe talk about Mcnabb and the QB situation, Snyder over spending in FA, or the 5 championships during non-strike years ;)

DHall owned the Cowboys??? Look, the guy made one strip-fumble and ran it back for a TD. Give him credit for making that pivotal play on essentially a brainfart on the Cowboys part. But as far as his coverage is concerned, he's mediocre. We atacked and had success against him just like any other average CB in the league. I have much more respect for Carlos Rogers' ability to consistently cover than DHall. The difference is Hall has the skill to make a play on the ball when the opportunity arises, Rogers does not. That one difference leads to Hall being overrated by some and Rogers mostly underappreciated.

The only teams i think do a good job handling Romo and the passing attack are teams that play a disciplined 2-deep zone and get some pressure without bringing the house.

This is a pretty accurate assessment -- if Rogers could freaking catch, he'd be a Pro-Bowler. I hope they bring Rogers back. Hall is boom or bust, and I am fine with that. I do like Hall but Rogers is a better cover corner. Hall is going to get flack from his detractors pointing out how he's "burnt toast." While his supporters are going to point to his big-play ability. And, frankly, both are correct.
