LOL. I have to laugh becasue I am seeing posts on X of people complaining that Dak is not getting any praise for the restructure. This is just stupid fans. A restructure is simply a conversion of salary to bonus which gets pro-rated over 5 years for CAP purposes. The player is not giving up any money. He is just getting his money up front instead of per game salary checks.
There is no reason for a player to deny a restructure. In fact, there is a benefit to a player to take the money in a signing bonus. Once he gets his money it is his. There are ways a team can claw-back bonus money but in most cases they can't. So if a player gets cut or suspended mid-season, he keeps his bonus even though he may forfeit his per game salary checks.
