Sooo....if an aggressive venture into the unknown of free agency is off the table, what's the play here? We trading for Garrett? Opening up $56m in 2 days seems like alot of scratch to just sit on.

Gotcha. I thought maybe Fisher had some insight into what might be next. I think for the most part these were pretty obvious moves. Was hoping they would skip out on the Dak restructure, but wont say I'm surprised. I'm just more confused on the reasoning for doing it. If they wont be going after a Nick Bolton or Trey Smith type I just dont understand the point in clogging up your future cap. If they do surprise me and grab a top FA it makes a lot more sense.

I could be wrong but didnt they sign guys like Lewis, Dowdle, Sieg, etc before FA? I know they didnt make any sort of OSA type of splash, but still locked up their lower pay guys I believe.

Hopefully they'll put it to good use. I do believe we wouldn't be freeing up this much space if we didn't think we would be making moves. I hope it's not just to bring back all our own guys either or to carry it into next year, lol.

I could see us bringing in some LBs, a WR2 this free agency period then some rotational/depth guys to compete for spots. The cap space we've freed up should be more than enough to fund those actions.

Parson had his fifth year option picked up, if he signs an extension his cap charge will be lower. The restructures have nothing to do with Parsons. It’s either for free agents or players that have contracts coming up in the next couple of years.
