It’s all about roster management. The way this roster has been managed, it doesn’t matter if Dak is making 100 thousands or 100 million. Instead of paying your QB and trying to save money at other positions—-Dallas chooses to pay a premium at QB, RB, WR and OL and then we wonder why the defense is so bad.
If a team can consistently hit on draft picks, it doesn’t matter how much the QB is being paid.
You mention Wilson as someone you should pay but that team has been as mediocre as the Cowboys under Dak over the last several seasons while he was being paid. They had to rebuild their roster and drafted impactful players that stay in the field.
Cowboys just completely blew Dak’s rookie contract. An utter embarrassment by this organization to not be more aggressive to manipulate a balanced roster centered around a rookie QB contract. It doesn’t matter what the QB Is paid here until we learn to balance out the way we spend money on this roster.
