40+ Years of Waiting. Saints Night Before Christmas.

Twas the day before Christmas,
When all through the south.
Only screams could be heard
From Eli Manning's mouth.

The Saints played superior
And it was not fair.
A game played so perfect
It would frighten Da Bear.

The Giants were beaten
Their playoff hopes put to bed
While visions of Super Bowl
Danced in Benson's head.

Payton in his visor,
And Gibbs in his cap.
Had just called a defense
Sure to produce a sack.

When out on the field
There arose such a clatter.
Brees sprang from the bench
To see what was the matter.

Straight to the quarterback
Fujita flew like a flash.
Right through the line,
And put Eli on his ***.

The ball was fumbled
And what do you know.
It ends up in the hands,
Of number Ninety-Fo.

Grant rumbled and stumbled
Right to the end zone
Then Carney came to help
With points of his own.

After all of the heartache
And all of the shame
The Saints have arrived
Bringing Who Dat fame

For those who believe
The Saints are not for real
Should give the Cowboys a call
To see how they feel.

It was Bush and Colston
Horn, and Brees too
And don't forget that boy Devery
Who played at LSU.

The crowd came together
One big cheer with glee.
"Who Dat Say Dey Gonna Beat Dem Saints"
Now hand us the trophee.

It would be nice to get the bye, but we can look forward to next year when Romo will start every game. 12-4 sounds about right. As for this season, all we can do is keep winning. As long as we keep winning, we'll be OK. We are what we are, as Big Bill said - soon we'll find out exactly who everyone is...

Congrats to the Saints for a great season, regardless. I have a feeling we'll see them again - soon...

I'm thinking that the Cowboys will make it the the NFC Championship game. I think the playoff seedings will look like this:

1. Chicago
2. New Orleans
3. Philadelphia
4. Seattle
5. Dallas
6. New York

Then New York will lose to Philly and Dallas will beat Seattle. Dallas will then play in Chicago and beat them. Philly comes to New Orleans for their second beating, then Dallas comes to New Orleans for the NFC Championship game.

Does anybody care to guess what the Saints record is this year in Nationally Televised games?
