Cowboys Rock Cleveland in a Dominating Win

...Downtown Cleveland was literally awash in blue on Sunday afternoon as Cowboys fans nearly outnumbered Browns fans. The biggest cheers were for Ezekiel Elliott, the former Ohio State star, who returned to the Buckeye State and thrilled his fans with 2 touchdown runs as well as 92 yards rushing on just 18 carries.

Elliott could have topped 100, but he and other starters were pulled late in the 4th quarter as the Cowboys ran out the final 7:48 on the clock to seal the victory.

How dominating were the Cowboys in Cleveland?

* The Browns only ran 14 plays in the entire 2nd half. That’s because they only had three possessions, with just one possession in the 4th quarter that lasted only 3 plays. The Cowboys defense did a great job of suffocating the Browns’ rushing attack (a woeful 45 yards on 13 carries). Meanwhile, the Cowboys offense continued to churn out the rushing yards, totaling 168 (92 for Elliott, followed by Alfred Morris with 56, and Dak Prescott scrambling for 20).

* The differential in Time of Possession was staggering. The Cowboys held the ball for 39:39 and the Browns only 20:21. The Cowboys offense held onto the ball by registering 29 first downs (15 passing, 14 rushing).

* The Cowboys defense held the Browns to one measly 3rd down conversion (1 of 9…a woeful 11% conversion rate). Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ offensive line cleared holes for Elliott & Morris, and gave Prescott time to hit open receivers. The Cowboys offense converted 67% of their 3rd down conversions (8 of 12)...

Lebron James is a Cowboys fan too. I guess that's why he was at the World Series and not at the Browns game. ;)
