How's this for a positive post?

If the Broncos give up 119 yards or more on the ground tonight your Dallas Cowboys will have the #1 ranked run defense in the NFL heading into week 4.

I'd say a Gatorade bath for the defensive coordinator is in order. Or, at his age, maybe a Gatorade sponge bath.

LOL

Nice stat, though it'd be hard for me to say that I feel really confident about our run defense yet. Other than KC - who killed us on the ground to end the game - we haven't played a team that runs the ball at all.

Last season they held number 1 pass defense for several weeks before injuries hit. Nice if both are number 1 at same time.

Better make it luke warm the iced gatorade could cause shock to the heart.

A lot of people wrongly questioned whether or not we could stop the run this year.

It's really been about how well we could stop the pass and get after the quarterback. I can't help but feel like going against Denver it would be nice to be able to match up well against their receivers. It'll be a tough test, one in which I think we'll need a healthy Spencer for. We have to shut down that passing game.

Stopping the run was my main concern heading into the season. Who knew Hatcher would be this good and 2 guys we never heard of before would be effective starters on the defensive line? I am surely very pleasantly surprised. We will see as the season progresses.

That's where I'm at. I feel like I'm watching a magic trick by the great Kiffini. But it's only been 3 games.

issue is that we have seen this movie before
unless we have depth, the starters wear down and we have the 'december swoon'
this is where Rat and Spencer can really help if they bring fresh legs in the second half of the season

You're a better fan than I am. I'll pass along your offer to Kiffin...

The Giants can't run at all and the Rams lost Richardson immediately (plus, they were playing catch-up the entire game). That said, we did a nice job on Charles (until the end, but hey, "couldn't stop Jamaal Charles" is hardly an insult). I'm pleased and cautiously optimistic. Neither the Chargers nor the Broncos run all that much or all that well, so we may keep up the gaudy numbers for a while.

I'm proud of you man. Nice thread. And yeah, love that new defense. I've been begging for the 4-3 of some sort for 2 years now, so far it's working out. Fingers crossed.

What's funny about this also is, our ILB's of Durant, Lee, And Carter haven't played to there "star" level yet as well.

Wait until they get the new defense. Look out!

The way we stopped the Chiefs running the ball in the finally minutes i really dont think being the #1 rushing defence comes with alot of accolades.

And Ryan's 3-4 is working so far in New Orleans.

Maybe's it's just a new coaching staff igniting a fire at both spots.
