Cowboys' RB Room Gets Ultimate Bulletin Board Material For 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The bar for the Dallas Cowboys' run game in 2025 isn't exactly set too high, but that doesn't mean they can't jump over it.

A room consisting of Miles Sanders, Javonte Williams, Jaydon Blue, and Deuce Vaughn knows they must produce, and now they've gotten a nice little piece of motivation heading into what looms as a defining year.

In Pro Football Focus' ranking of the top 32 running backs in football, the Cowboys didn't have one make the list. Oh, and for what it's worth, Rico Dowdle, who finished with 1,079 yards (12th most in the NFL), didn't make the list, either.

But given that no one made this list for Dallas shows the lack of faith in the run game heading into 2025, and based on the production of Williams and Sanders last year, it is easy to see why (718 yards, six touchdowns combined).

So where are the resident homers and virtue signallers?

Shouldn't they be here accusing PFF of being haters, trolls, negative nells??

Here's some advice to the few of you since most of you aren't working anyway; get on down to PFF Headquarters and start a protest......here's their address :

Pro Football Focus is headquartered in 1216 Central Pkwy, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Let us know how it turns out.

This years OL will make stars of them. Take that PFF!!
Only the Dallas Cowboys could bring in a HC who is preaching about running the ball and how important it is and not give him one viable starting who can carry the load.

We could have kept Rico for the same price as Javonte WIlliams + Sanders. That would have 100% made us a better football team.
yeah odd move. i was under the impression they let him walk because they were insistent on upgrading. this team just never ceases to confuse.

It's interesting to note that the Cowboys philosophy in the running game is geared more towards the quality of the O-line compared to the quality of the RB's.

And yet, historically, no matter the O-line, the Cowboys RBs during their SB seasons were exclusively 1st round draft picks.

Calvin Hill

Duane Thomas

Tony Dorsett

Emmitt Smith

Their "2nd tier" RBs, were all 2nd or 3rd round picks

Robert Newhouse

DeMarco Murray

Julius Jones

Jerry Jones believes that a quality O-Line can substitute for a quality, highly productive RB and he is wrong.

Having a good quality line can no doubt help, but as with the Eagles the league saw what a quality RB can do with a quality OL.
Swift is a decent RB, but he is no Barkley.

LOL

Last time this team responded to being called out was when Aikman was still the QB

you may be right, but let's give the young guys a chance.
