Damn, are so we desperate for cap relief that we can't even afford a 1.75m cap hit for experienced depth? Things are worse than I thought.

You act like 1.75 mil is nothing. That is 4X what the player taking his place would make. If he actually did anything he might be worth the 1.75 mil

I'm not acting like 1.75m is nothing, I'm acting like we're in a really terrible cap situation when 1.75m IS something.

It's more than you can afford to pay your no 6 LB. Especially when the guy that beat him out for the SAM spot makes 700K. It's more than Jaylon Smith makes.

When they gave him the second contract I am pretty sure they were expecting more in the way of contributions.

They aren't getting it. Time to move on.

I don't even know what we're arguing about, but why wouldn't it be more than Jaylon Smith makes? Wilber is a 5 year veteran. 1.75m really shouldn't be the deciding factor on whether he stays or not, but it is because we don't have cap space to make the decision purely on performance - maybe.

Wilber 1.25m
Hanna 2.2m
AMorris 1.7m

they have already been replaced ......the money and cap space is just a bonus

I like this! What are you thinking? 2nd round pick?

I have not looked at the TE class yet so I cannot say. Started looking at DBs now the combine is done.

I don't get tied up in taboos and the like so I have no issue with a TE in round 2.

It was a joke about all the TEs they have taken and wasted in the 2nd rd.

His salary exceeds his contributions and he lost out in the SAM competition to Wilson.
Also James Morris is a forgotten man. He was essentially redshirted on IR last season after being signed, but I anticipate him being the ST linebacker for cheaper than Wilbur.

It's just a short video, but it does show some of what he was doing towards the end of the year.

Combined with the reports the DBs were calling him unstoppable as Romo's favorite scout team target we can be hopeful.

Oh I am looking forward to seeing him but until he demonstrates that he can handle hot routes and pass protection he won't see the field. Watching him block David Irving would have better set my heart at ease.
