Yesterdays tremendous performance completely could change our course from where most of us thought we were heading after last week heading in this game.

We were talking 0-2, 0-3 or worse, possibly struggling to win any games while our starting QB was out. Now with this stout defense and backup QB making enough plays we appear to have more potential winnable games ahead of us with a realistic chance of hovering around .500 . Which should keep us in contention.

The season appears to be still on!!

I agree. What that game did was give me confidence that it's at least possible to beat teams like the Giants and Bears with Rush.

Here's the thing with Rush at QB. I'm at the edge of my seat every time he drops back to pass. Then when nothing terrible happens I exhale. That's not the case with Dak. But other than that, I don't have a lot of confidence in Dak moving the ball down the field. I just don't.

Still at 1-2 I like our chances of possibly going 2-2.

1-2 is much better than 0-3. Even if we’d lost yesterdays game the way we played would have given me more confidence in coming weeks .

A stout defense with a running game and QB who makes enough plays you can win with.
I agree, I have already bumped up the number of wins I had them down for a few weeks ago.

And that’s all we need with our backup QB is beating teams we would have with our starting QB. This game was a bonus.

I was just hoping we’d put up a good performance against the defending AFC Champion giving us more confidence against our two upcoming divisional foes.

And perhaps we won’t need to bring Prescott back too early and let him totally heal up.

It's amazing how the narrative changed so drastically from a few days ago.

All that stuff is still there and more than likely coming back.

Go ahead and prove me wrong, Cowboys. History tells me you put forth an awful effort this week and lose a very winnable game.

Please, prove me wrong.

I’m usually a pretty harsh critic but games and performances like we saw yesterday need to be recognized . We haven’t seen much of that this era.

Oh...you mean we're NOT throwing out the season after one game THIS week? For that phantom draft pick?

NY is off to a surprising start. Winning can be infectious. And they’ll have some film on Rush. Who struggled in 2nd half until final drive.

I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if we do lose up there . But it won’t curb the hope I have after yesterdays game.

But it’s our defense which can cause the disruption and havoc . We must continue running the ball setting up okay action and playing stout defense .

Are you afraid to be hopeful? Predict the doom and gloom early for the told ya so, but give yourself the out that you wanted to be wrong all along.

Brilliant!

Yep

Part of being a critic is knowing when to recognize a better effort. Yesterday was one of the best this era.

If Cowboy fans can’t behind an effort and performance like that you might as well turn the tv off.

I've been trying to cheer up some people.....but they want to wallow in this made up QB controversy. We should be "ecstatic" (the very word I used).....we just stomped a bona fide super bowl contender's jaw in the curb....and we sit here bickering about it. CRAZY!
