Drafted by Cowboys Cowboys select Jaydon Blue RB

letting go of Dowdle after the year he had and for that price and picking up the guys they did still makes no sense to me
biggest *** moment of the offseason

They must've thought he was going to get more money.

You do re
Gotta like his speed, size will be an issue so he will not be an every down back right now. Hand size is small which can lead to those fumbles.

Where we got him, with that 22.3 mph top speed, I like the pick. Best we could hope for since Jerry give our 4th round pick away like a small bag of chips.
You do realize he is 5'9 200 lbs right? E.s is 5'9 210. His size is fine

Im not...

i'm just saying I think that's what people see they see a guy with 43 speed and he's 5 '9 but he's around 200 pounds that's what makes them different,,

he's not the Scat back type, even though yes you're right in this situation we have Sanders and Williams to pound a rock but we have this guy that can come in but he coming in doesn't mean you know exactly what he's about to do... he's not only going out and running routes,

but he does have a fumbling problem, i'm a try not to be a homer as a Longhorn fan they need to get that fixed...
i said he isn't an every down back right now, but that could obviously change. I've seen him run short yardage, off tackle, and such. Don't add me to the gadget crew, as I'm not a part of that. The fumbles can also be fixed, but I mentioned it cause its a problem right now.

I see more of Jahmyr Gibbs in him, they are practically the same size and look similar to me.

..woah, this guy might be our Home Run specialist.

Biased Longhorns fan here. LOVE the pick! He is a homerun threat. Soft hands outta the backfield. Reminds me (a little bit) of Jhamyr Gibbs.

My only concern is ball security. He's gonna correct that with coaching.

He may need to put on 5-10lbs. He'll eventually grow into his man body.

He's clearly RB1 for Dallas IMO.

Should have kept Dowdle, he's better than any of the tailbacks on the team. Jayden Blue is a reach, Overall a very disappointing draft.

He is correct you don't want to use this guy as a hammer he's gotten out of three down back but he can run normal sets though that's what's great you don't know if he's about to come out of the backfield or go to the edge I just compare him more to Tony Pollard I know Tony Pollard is a little taller but this is what we had in Tony before his injury and this is what we needed....

MY opinion

Williams=older zeke job, short yardage /goal line
Sanders= ricos normal runs
Blue- spark plug preinjury tony, who backed up zeke is when tony was at his best..

He isnt big or strong enough. They need a workhorse back.

I don't know if he'll be Gibbs but he definitely has more to offer than just pass catching and what people call the **** back I watched him play he can play you get rid of the fumbling problems and this guy's a weapon.. BYe Vaughn LOL
Very aware, I said it in another post.

Thats why i compared him to Jahmyr Gibbs, similar size and speed.

You know how easy it is to get a workhorse back like Rico his name is Williams and then he can be spelled by Sanders but blue is 59 200 lbs he's not far off from what Emmett Smith was you guys are tripping what do you think Jamie or Gibbs sizes just because he's got four 3 speed doesn't make him small he does more than just pass catch and run to the outside anybody who's watched him play the only reason he slipped is because he has a fumbling issue and yes I'm biased and I'm a Longhorn fan but I watched him play.. He can be your normal runner in most cases the workhorse back will be split right now if we stayed as is williams and Sanders are here for a reason yes they can be a workhorse type back together but when you need a spark this dude did it with the Longhorns he had to sit behind three really good running backs that's why he didn't get enough carries but when he came in he made stuff happen he literally many times took a stagnant early slump in a game and he came in and boom he made it happen for the Longhorns he was there slumpbuster many times he's the one that can catch on the sideline he makes tough catches he can run quick you give him a spot in the middle I don't care if you're running him straight up the middle if you give him a crease you know not a bad offensive line you have to have a good offensive line but if you give this guy something to run through here's through it with blazing speed and gone.

You're right he's not a three down back he's not a workhorse but he is a weapon he is not a gadget player he could be used as a running back a lot like early on tony Pollard when he was backing up Ezekiel Elliott he's that kind of player that's the best comp I can think of since it's a cowboy land here as he's Tony Pollard....

Agreed. We need a hammer compliment. I'm most excited at seeing him isolated with a LB or a Safety on wheel routes.

Terrence Steele is still a good run blocker. Smith-Beebe-Booker are country skrong in the middle.

I expect a much better running game this year and beyond. Add in Blue's homerun capability, I'm excited. :D

Overall he' s a bad pick. Should have drafted a better RB in the 2nd or 3rd. They really blew this draft. They cant do free agency and now they cant even draft. Terrible front office.

I disagree and there's still a couple good backs in the draft martinez there's rumors they may even trade for a guy like Breeze Hall we're not done yet this guy was needed it wasn't a bad pick he is one of those juice guys you have to have some juice I hope they pick up Isaiah Bond the dumb pick was the linebacker trading up and using up some of your resources to get a linebacker that I never heard of jaden blue can play football jaden blue is Tony Pollard and Tony Pollard was a pretty good favorite around here we need that on this team..

You can take your negative attitude and whenever your opinion is I don't care my opinion is this was one of the better picks in the draft that linebacker that they kicked next should have been Isaiah Bond or yeah you're right it could have been Martinez from Miami it could have been I don't know OLLIE Gordon or somebody else yes I get that but we do have Sanders and Williams on this team to do The Dirty work if needed at this point but I like the rotation right now jaden blue can play football and you're gonna find out he's Tony Pollard we got him in the 4th round we got this dude in the 5th round..

I understand your disappointment that we didn't get a playmaker at receiver or running back that you wanted but this guy is a playmaker yes we didn't get the starting running back that can play all three downs not at this point but right now this is a better running back room than we had last year i'm telling you
