Cowboys should have traded up for Josh Rosen

Cardinals only gave up a 3rd round and 5th round pick to move up from 15 to 10. The Cowboys should have offered their 2nd round pick to move up. They could have then offered Dak to the Cardinals for their 2nd round pick. Dak is a solid game manager when he has the right pieces around him like Alex Smith but he just doesn't have the arm talent to be an elite QB. Chosen Rosen has elite arm talent and will become an All Pro QB. He slipped in the draft because he is "too arrogant" jut like Aaron Rodgers did.
I would have gone for it. Rosen , my fav QB in draft and most ready to start IMO.

I’d be for keeping Dak though . He’s a great backup.

Are you related to Josh Rosen by chance?

Rosen has yet to play a down in the NFL. Sounds like the plan of a team who is unable to compete right now. The Cowboys are not that team.

I watched many UCLA games. He is a gem.

And Cardinals are a much better situation than the Browns or Jets to go to.

I look for him to make a Goff type impact. The NFC West might become the best division in NFC. No doubt potentially best QB’s cumalitively.

Exactly. Plus we only have Dak for 2 more years on a cheap rookie contract. We would have Rosen under a rookie contract for 5 years.

I’m not sure I’d of given up any picks this year though . I would have sweetened the deal with our1st next year which is worth it if he’s our Franchise QB because we needed those other picks this year.

Probably the safest QB I’m the draft.

He’s a better Jared Goff imo.

But... I wouldn’t have taken him.

He is Jared Goff with superior arm talent. I liked Goff in that draft and I like Rosen even more.

In my scenario we would trade Dak to the Cardinals for their 2nd rounder so we would still get Connor Williams and have all of our picks in 2019.

You'd get 2 good years out of him before he leaves to work for Gene traveling the world looking for art pieces to acquire.

Get used to the idea that Dak is our QB for the next 2 years at least. Like him or not, and I'm on the fence about it, the FO is not going to play Madden and make your kind of move. The FO has a philosophy of sorts about building a team and your kind of scenario isn't going to happen, they're not even close to making a change at QB.

I’m not against Rosen. But trading up for a QB was just not going to happen. The team has too many needs.

Think about it now. Your scenario was either. Dak as QB, LVE on defense and Connor Williams at guard.

Or Rosen as QB.

No offense but I think this team wins many more games with an improved defense, an improved OL and Dak. Than with just Rosen.

We can all agree that Dak’s primary issue is dealing with pressure. He needs to get better at that. But now they have improved the OL and also given it great depth. Dak is going to be well protected this year thanks to Connor Williams.

And Barkley
And Nelson
I mean if we are playing Madden here, why not?

You got the anointing oil out already, huh?

See some idiot said Dak’s just a game manager which is just a perception that other fans grasp onto and think it’s reality.
