Yes please!!!

There are still some improvements the Cowboys could look to make to their defensive line.

The Dallas Cowboys added edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland in the NFL draft. After having an excellent training camp and preseason, Kneeland will be the first sub behind DeMarcus Lawrence and All-Pro Micah Parsons. The Cowboys did bring in veteran Carl Lawson, who they initially cut but brought back to the practice squad. However, Dallas could still use some more juice coming off the edge. When looking at the free agent market, there's an intriguing name that the Cowboys should consider at edge rusher, and that's Yannick Ngakoue.

Well this answers that question Muhammad still has one game left on a 6 game suspension from 2023 when he was at Indy. Performance enhancers failed test . I have no doubt he’s back playing game 2 against the Saints .

Until then Dallas probably goes DLaw Kneeland Golston and of course # 11 hybrid Edge LB .

Boy Joseph & Philips are probably one yr stop gaps at DT then you have DLaw at edge not any younger ….the 2025 draft screams the entire D Line needs a fresh make over like Guyton Beebe and Smith have done on the OL . Possibly three to four DL next draft depending on how the board falls.

Because they cut him, if they re-signed him, he'd still have to serve a one-game suspension. I thought they would leave him on the reserve-suspended list for a game before making up their mind about him.

Anyway, if Lawson fails, they'll likely try another of these street edge rushers unless someone else feels desperate before we do.

Well, if Kneeland works out and Mazi lives up to his first-round status, they only need depth at those spots. Not sure if we'll try to re-sign Odighizuwa, who also will be a free agent next year. So we could need two starters, but how early we'll draft for them probably depends on how much we play Parsons at ends. If he's there 80 percent of the time, then we're not going to spend an early pick on an end. I'd love for us to spend one on a 3-tech, but I'm doubtful we'd use a first-rounder on another DT just two years after Mazi.

You make alot of good points . Mazi Smith is serviceable no more no less . Drafted way too early . Like Schoonmaker . I don’t think you have much choice with OSA, he has to be signed or he will flourish in someone elsed DT spot . He’s been a solid third rounder .

Yes Kneeland is young and Smith and Osa is a solid vet , The cupboard is almost empty . I don’t count # 11 he’s a hybrid talent .
Scouts are looking Dline next draft . Rogers leaving was a waste . Could have played this year in Dallas .

But why is he still available? Every team can use another solid pass-rusher but he is still out there. Injuries, money, washed up......which is it?
Maybe all 3 but I know he's always been a guy who wants more $ than he's worth, maybe thats the issue. Worth a look probably.

I still can’t figure out why they cut Muhammad . Dude had a PS sack when the front got no pressure in any PS game .
That's the criteria for keeping a playing on the 53?

Because he got a sack when no one else got any pressure in a preseason game???

No one else other than a LB came close to a QB in pre season . Let’s have a look after the last game of his suspension ( Cleveland ) is served he will dress for the Saints game while the guy you mentioned won’t get near Frisco . That’s a criteria I can live with .

When the Browns game is done I’m assuming he can play against the Saints . The Cowboys have his phone # let’s see .

The Cowboys have spent a 1st and a 2nd round pick the last 2 years on the DL.

The make over has already started.

I see Kneeland plus Osa is a FA . Smith at this point is rotational serviceable . They must have really been disappointed in Rogers . I thought he could fit into the rotation this year . Back to the draft board in 25 for edge & tackle

He cannot. He has to be on a team to serve his one-game suspension.

With the Cowboys picking late in the 1st round, I think they should target the top running back. As of right now they could go for the Boise Stare back or the Oklahoma State back. I think that they could get one of them between picks 20 and 31.
