We would be stupid not to show interest in any player that might fit a need and could be available with our first pick.

yeah but mays that has never made big turnovers or takeaways?

to me mays reminds me of a former safety we had in roy williams, big hitter, but couldnt cover in the secondary worth his life, or even cover my mother

Unless Mays for some reason falls to the 3rd round and we get him there I'm going to be pretty unhappy if we take him.

I'm not a fan of Taylor Mays at all.

We havent dont anything really "unusual" since 2001, Jones has got smart and listens to people.

Mays wont be a Cowboys, and especially not with a 1st rd pick.

Mays best fit as a will LB'er for a team like the Colts.

lets chill out we are scouting both safeties and ILBs as they are both a position of need(and mays could be either) and jerry is just doing his due dilegence and covering bases just like talking with dez he isnt expected to be there, we dont need WR, but he could be there and we want to know about him we want to know about anybody that fills a need that could be anywhere near where we draft, imo scouting is not the same as showing interest, now if we worked him out i would be worried

Mays? No, I will be so disappointed if we end up drafting Mays. He is not at all the type of safety we need, and lacks work ethic and character. He's only had one.... one interception his whole career at USC. What is our defense lacking? Turnovers. Why exactly would we draft a safety that is only known for hitting when Hamlin is solely the problem, and that problems is turnovers. I'd like to see us take Iupati at 27, but if we end up getting Thomas I'll be happy. He lacks size, but he makes up for it in instincts, I live in Austin and watch every UT game so I know what he's capable of. Mini Ed Reed, legitimate ballhawk.

I hope the draft goes down exactly like this:

1st Round

Mike Iupati

2nd Round

Nate Allen

3rd Round

Jordan Shipley

4th Round

Sean Lee (ILB)

Give or take a few that don't fall. Allen fits perfectly at safety, we need depth at OL immediately, with talent that can contribute immediately. Shipley anyone can steal, and Sean Lee is quietly the best ILB in the draft, another position we need depth at immediately for future successors, people are just shying away because of his injuries.

You guys better hope to God they aren't considering Mays. You think Roy Williams was bad in coverage??? Mays is awful in coverage.

I was at the Senior Bowl and the guy simply can't read what's going on during the play. His legs run faster than his brain and he's always out of position.

The way Shipley's hype is building he may not even make it to us in the 3rd round. Sean Lee could go higher than the 4th. I don't see Iupati falling to us in the first because his stock has been on the rise. I can't really argue with Allen too much.
