Deontay Burnett....was a kid out of USC. IF I remember right...he came out early in the draft...didn't get picked. Fell through the cracks. Still only 26....if he had stayed in school....he probably would have been picked the following year. Interesting pick up. Looks like he's bounced around some teams...

Houston Texans defensive end Denico Autry has been suspended six games for violating the NFL's policy against performance enhancing drugs.

Autry, who signed with the Texans on a two-year, $20 million contract earlier this year as a free agent, said in a statement that he did not intentionally violate the league's policy but accepts the punishment.

Hankins stinks.

I love how people complain that the run defense last year was terrible, and want to bring back one of the most important pieces lol

I never said I thought Hankins was an All Pro, but last year at least he was better than Mazi and the other 3rd or 4th string backup DTs. They dumped Hankins and all they drafted for a DT was a 7th rounder, and at this point in time Mazi is still a complete unknown.
And our run defense totally deserves to be criticized! If you can't stop the run any better than that, you go nowhere in the playoffs, and guess where we've went lately in the playoffs? NOWHERE!
The reason I mentioned dumping Hankins was they didn't replace him on the depth chart with a quality FA, they're simply hoping Mazi improves this year. If he does, great! But if he doesn't improve considerably, our run defense will be even worse than it was last year!
