I have a feeling a Spencer extension is coming this week. Spencer probably looks at the 1-2 year deals that Bennett and Avril signed, with Freeney/Osi/Abraham still looking for jobs, and decides he wants some long term security.

I think at this point we can get Spencer for about what Kruger got -- 40 millish over 5 years.

Avril did take a two year deal but that allows him to be a UDFA when he's 28. Spencer isn't taking that sort of deal. Avril did, however, pretty much establish that no one is going to pay DE/OLB guys much over 8 mill a year.

I bet my money he will be the other starter at LB this guy is a solid player with some good wheels he can play the flat and cover very well
