They "scouted" him as a TE which he played at Marshall. He had no chance at that position. At FB he just needs to show he can block (from the backfield) since he already has receiving ability.

Sounds a lot like Jamize Olawale in this regard. I think he played some receiver and TE at North Texas before switching to the backfield.

Seems like Dallas is loading up players that offer position flex. This guy could be an interesting project.

Olawale has good hands. We just remember that dropped TD against the Colts. Scott Linehan didn't recognize the weapon he had in Olawale and the Cowboys gave him zero carries. And he caught just two passes on a measly four targets.

Olawale has good hands. We just remember that dropped TD against the Colts. Scott Linehan didn't recognize the weapon he had in Olawale and the Cowboys gave him zero carries. And he caught just two passes on a measly four targets.

Yeah, CT is right. He had that awful redzone drop but he is a former TE as well and was a really good receiver with the Raiders, especially making big plays with pretty decent speed. Linehan just never used him in that capacity.
