Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign Jalen Thompson

He is a starting safety at least.

Almost in the top 50 of all safeties last year (he was rated 51)
lol. That’s not good.

Not sure what rankings you are looking at or how they rank the players. But assuming every team starts two safeties….. not even making the top 50 is borderline starter/backup and not someone who has it locked down.

This has got to be the biggest FA deal since Carr
And it's what some of us have been asking for. We're not expecting the front office to break records and sign the highest-paid this or that. What it needs are some quality players, not ones willing to come on a prove-it deal because they didn't prove it the previous year or four.

Yea ...... but trying to be positive

According to reporting by Slater (if accurate)...Hendrickson is a no sale. Reportedly they are not going to "double down" on a second big money Edge. I think they could possibly do something in the 10 - 12 mil range. Someone like Joey Bosa.

“We have addressed a big need (Gary), will look to add if anything makes financial sense.” Source adds “Not doubling down on a free agent high dollar edge”.
May not add another one until after the draft. That way we can see what we get and then try to re-sign Clowney or pick up a different older vet.

I’ve no idea on the value of the picks…
But if we needed to trade up a few places to get Styles, which meant us sending our two 1st rounders in exchange for the higher 1st and a high 2nd rounder, is that feasible?
Yup. Been thinking the same for a while. For example, Browns send us 6 and 39, for 12 and 20, and we select Styles at 6.

Well that's why they didn't trade for Fitzpatrick.
Well, given the price range was about the same I'd say they targeted Thompson Moore because the coaching staff they feel he fits this defense better.. At least that's what I heard I don't know a lot about this guy, but I know scheme fit is real important filling out the D-roster this season.

that might be fine depending on how we do in the draft.
Right. We obviously need at least one more end/OLB, but I just don't see the team being in a hurry for him after the Gary trade. They are out on all the big names, so it's going to be the contributors that they are looking at if they can't find one in the draft.

Well There Goes Former O.S. Safety Caleb Downs Not Going To Be Drafted By The Cowboys..

Go Bucks..

Great players can be on a bad team. See Crosby.
Well, they're talking about the defense that they are playing on but you're right I don't think the Raiders defense was any good.. Hendrickson was a 17 sack guy two years ago on a bad defense... So you're right just judging a player coming off a bad team or a group is just not how you do it this guy was chosen by our defensive coaching staff he has ties so was Gary that's the theme here they're bringing scheme fit guys they know can still play they may not be splash signings but if you're going to get this transition done quicker you got to bring over "their: guys...

Not too bad.

Not too great.

No INTs in 30 games.

No Pro Bowls.

Could have found dudes like this at league min?

Makes a lot of tackles though.
No. That's the cost of a solid NFL player these days. The guys you find for league minimum have big question marks about their game.
