I love this. We're certainly not shy about improving weak spots. That's what preseason is for. Bring in people until you find a solution. Evaluate honestly, and keep looking for upgrades. Kind of makes me feel better about the oline process, too. Hopefully, the same will apply to fixing our secondary depth problems, too.

He didn't miss a kick from 45 yards and in last year or this preseason. Maybe he's much better now than he was back in 2006-2007.

13 of 16 for 81.3% The league average for teams was 82.3% last season. Sixteen attempts is a small sample when you consider the average for teams last year was 30 attempts. He misses one and 12 of 16 becomes 75% like Buehler or if he makes one and it becomes 14 of 16 or 87.5%.

The makes that were long (2/2 on 50+) and clutch (game-tying/-winning) are a good sign.

...I said weeks ago this is the guy. Please don't look at the 73.3% guys...look at his body of work last year in Detroit: he was 13 of 16 and hit some CLUTCH kicks including a 55 yarder vs. Minnesota: he's a good one.

I see the Rayner signing as more a reaction to Graham's kickoffs Saturday, which were inconsistent at best.

I'm sure Dallas wants to find someone who can make field goals AND kick off decently. We haven't seen that yet.

When Bailey really started struggling, he's the guy I thought would get called. Was actually a little surprised they called in Graham because of it, but I guess they had to cover themselves...

Anyway, Rayner gives them the big leg on kickoffs, and he has really improved as a kicker in the last year or so.
