Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign MLB Jack Sanborn

Sanborn might be able to get some MLB snaps here.

He isn’t a coverage LB but he’s a downhill thumper who can help in the run game.

Agree with your assessment, but it becomes an interesting question of do you want your MLB to be a guy who has to get off the field for passing downs? Thats typically the guy you have with the radio in his helmet which you want on the field as much as possible.

Typical MLB thumper LB but did have 3 ints as a Wisconsin Badger Sophmore. Also almost averaged 5 sacks a year at Wisconsin excluding COVID year.

He's a 2 down LB. Pull him on obvious pass downs to limit his coverage warts.

Ideally Overshown bounces back this year, but that seems like a hopeful wish.
Maybe Bell will see more nickel snaps again as a LB depending on how the draft goes.
When it's clear passing situations, I expect Bell and possibly Liufau to be the linebackers, at least until Overshown gets back. Doesn't mean Sanborn won't be exposed in coverage on early downs, but we should try to limit the number of times he's isolated on a TE or RB. That's why I think he should be MLB. Let him drop into middle zone when teams pass on those downs.

Drilling at the bedrock where the deep gold is sitting!
Considering all the ex-1st rounders being signed, it would seem feasible that a good one (or two) could become a lucky strike. Hope springs eternal. Obviously, that's our claim, here. ;)
