The Eagles thought so much of this dude that they signed two guys off their couches mid-season. I'm tempering expectations.

They like to go for the big splash signings, Sirianni style is the little bro syndrome.

I think everyone can agree that the Eagles front office isn't dumb and shows nepotism. Letting this guy go can't help but make you scratch your head, particularly going down the stretch into the playoffs.

They make mistakes. Fletcher Cox. No way he deserved that contract this past offseason.

No one claimed Rush either and he went 4-1 as a starter. People clearing waivers is not an indictment on them.

He didn't say the player was an improvement, he said the teams actions are an improvement. They've at least been turning over stones rather than sitting on their hands.

One didn’t require trading for and had assets already invested in

One would assured to be with the cowboys for the next four years without requiring a new, larger contract

One is still only a rookie that can be molded into a better player

Oh yeah, and one will continue to contribute to his team as he finishes the season

Ridgeway would have been in Dallas through 2025 and is healthy whereas Hankins is out the rest of the season and is gone after this season.....so because Dallas was arrogant and refused to put Dak on a 4-week IR they cut Ridgeway and cost themselves a young DT that could grow with the team.

One-techs and nose tackles generally don't light up the stat sheet. So it's not about production, it's about having a reliable run stuffer on the team. We had rights to a young Ridgeway for your years.

This is actually an improvement over previous years. We used to say we have backups that need to step up. It’s good to see us trying to find at least some viable alternatives.
