Signed by Cowboys Cowboys sign OL Hakeem Adeniji

Who else do many of you suggest they go sign?
No need to give us some in-depth analysis. Just a list of names at this point.

He will be back up depth competition. And who know, maybe he can compete to start at RG.
Another player with experience that may just need a change of venue to play.

They LOVE quantity over quality. Sign guys that can start. Fill these roster spots with UDFA's. Or jags like this after the draft.
They will, but they need to fill out the roster also. Players will be churned as they bring in UDFA's, and as the draft picks sign.

Why hasn’t Will Hernandez signed yet..
  • Guard Will Hernandez is among the NFL's most underrated offensive linemen: Since joining the Cardinals in 2022, Hernandez owns a 76.0 PFF pass-blocking grade, which ranks ninth among guards, and has allowed pressure on 4.2% of pass plays (17th).
Money, a possible injury. if I remember right. I also read he was giving up a lot of sacks as well.
Didn't one of the new coaches come from Arizona? Why is he not pounding his fist to bring him in?

How good is Robert Jones, can he start at right guard or is he a backup. Dallas has depth at guard now.
He had 30 starts for Miami as an undrafted free agent, but the Dolphins were replacing him in free agency, which should tell us what they thought of him. He was a college tackle but settled in at guard.

Here's what phinsider.com had to say about him: Jones started all 17 games at left guard for the Dolphins in 2024, his first season as a full-time starter. He struggled throughout the year, allowing five sacks (1st the team), four quarterback hits (1st), 19 hurries (2nd), and 28 pressures (2nd) (according to Pro Football Focus). PFF had his overall grade for 2024 right around average.

Yeah, this is what he said in February concerning the possibility of returning to Arizona:

"I would definitely love to stay but at the end of the day it's not up to me. I can't make these decisions and if something happens where I can or I can't, we'll go off of that. We'll see what the next step is.

"I haven't even thought about it. The only thing I think about is getting this knee back to 100% which is exactly what's happening as well. I'll be back [healthy] I know that for sure, but until then it'd be weird to worry about all of these other things."

That link shows him as 84th....Not sure that's average. Only 64 guys at Guard each week.

Good point. Didn't click on that link. I guess they mean average among all guards? In other words, he'd be an OK backup.

I'm assuming Jones is a Klayton Adams signing, so I will give him and the new OL coach the benefit of the doubt that they can coach him into at least being a decent backup.

Of course, that's our method at too many positions and it doesn't always work out. We gave Quinn grief for playing Bell at linebacker after LVE went down a couple of years ago, but Bell was what he had to work with. Could have stuck a lesser linebacker out there instead, I guess.

Any coach who comes here knows he's going to have to coach 'em up because we're shopping at the Five and Dime if not in the dumpster out back.

I tried enough. Maybe a mod can help me with the link

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Hakeem Adeniji shared news on social media that he and his wife Kayla Adeniji lost their son a week before his due date. In an emotional video, Hakeem explained that Kayla couldn't feel their son moving so to be cautious, they went to the hospital for an ultrasound, which no longer showed a heartbeat.

They named their son Semiu Zade Adeniji and both the instant love they felt for him when they held him for the first time.

Hakeem called the stillbirth "the worst moment of my life": "It's the worst pain in the world. I can't describe it to anybody."

"I know everybody that knows me knows how bad I wanted to be ... be a dad," Hakeem added.

Wiping tears from his eyes, he reflected on the time he did get to spend with his son and emphasized that Semiu will always be remembered.

"We got to hold him. We got to spend some moments with him," Hakeem said. "We'll never forget him. We love him. He's going to live on in our hearts forever."

He thanked family and friends for being supportive and said "all we ask is for some prayers ... this is very tough."

Hakeem also shared insight to their journey to having a child, saying it's been a long process with IVF and his son gave them hope for such a long time.

"We're gonna get through this. It has been a journey but I know that he's watching over us and he wants us to keep going, so we're gonna do that. It's going to be hard, there's been some rough moments, but there's been a lot of moments to be grateful for," Hakeem said.

Kayla posted videos and photos and shared her story on social media as well, bringing to light something many mothers and couples have gone through.

"We had to say goodbye to the most perfect, beautiful boy I've ever seen. We will never ever be the same and we will never forget him," she wrote on Instagram.

Nice classy post. The guy had a still born child and was obviously broken up about it as was his wife and anyone else would be. What are you talking about
