It does this year. You can’t look at the cap one year at a time. You have to look 3-4 years down the road. Clearing cap isn’t just about today. What you don’t use this year carries over. But how they structure Micah could save several million this year or you could put more in this year and save down the road. Doesn’t matter how you structure to the player. All he cares about is how much is guaranteed. Ideally you front load some and backload others, though Jerry never does that

I guess he’s good depth but I’d give bass or Hoffman the first shot. I like both but really like Hoffmann flexibility

While this is true, it could also be a bit of hubris. Coaches think they can fix players. In Dallas, it's a must because all we sign are broken players and expect our coaches to get the most out of them. I hope he can, but Jones just might be what he is.

Normally I 100% agree -- I hate it when people think a new coach or scheme is going to make player drastically better -- but at least Adams showed in Arizona that he could take a bunch of relative no-names and make them into a good OL unit. He's the one coach we hired this time that I think might really have something, so if he saw something he liked, I'll trust it for now.
