he is going to be the highest paid NFL player, doesnt matter if you dont believe in it.
Well let me talk you down a little.
We still have a bad QB, a declining OL, no starting TE, a hodge podge DL of aging vets and suspended players, a MASH unit LB corp and a secondary in transition under the guidance of two inexperienced coaches.
I'm stoked too.
I think this is close to what's going to happen, except I think if Danucci shows anything in preseason, he will not last on PS, so we might have to keep him on the 53. this also gives us better insurance if Dak decides he is going to miss the first 6 games.Bengals screwed Dalton by releasing him so late when everyone knew they were taking Burrow. He gets to make easy money for one year and then can test the market in 2021. Bye bye Cooper Rush, Garrett might be already on the phone with him to get him to NY. DiNucci will be on the practice squad this season and then we'll see if he can be the full-time backup next year.

Dak can Pack for all I care. In the end, Dak is a 4th round guy who can't throw a football accurately. That is the prime requirement for his job
and he fails at it. Time for one more season and then the non-exclusive tag. Dalton is legit.
The more I think about it I believe Rush will be released soon so he can go to camp with another team. You have what's his face, Dalton, DiNucci and Thorson. Why take 5 to camp? Rush has no route to the backup gig and you're not going to carry him as the 3rd QB. Too much money.
DiNucci got his feefees hurt and is now requesting a trade.
I
Best thing that could have happened to DiNucci. One year on practice squad (or 3rd strong) and next year no Dalton or Rush.

Pathetic as ever it seems... You literally riding the Dalton train? Get off. How pitiful can a person be? Wait, it is Pappy. Your floor is low, ceiling, non existent. Ride or die on the proverbial hype train fool.
I am in the middle on Dak but you know you will be stoned to death over this post.
This is just plain and simple stupidity.
You mean, Andy Dalton, who started his career 50-24 with 4 straight 10 win seasons.I don't want to stir the pot.
But I do wonder what these sudden Dalton fans would have said if we signed Kaepernick, an actual winning QB, as our backup QB.
no Kitna and Orton, Cunningham, and Wade wilson were solid backupExactly, I would have to go back as far as the Steve Beuerlein era.
Dalton gives this team that type of talent.
If Dak goes down, it doesn't matter anyway. But Dalton is definitely a guy that can win a few games for you in the regular season.
He's a solid #2 who can start if a deal can't be done with Dak. That's really all it is.Aside from the money, this is a strong move that has virtually no negative repercussions other than making Prescott fans anxious.
If you look at this for what it really is and stop it with silly assumptions, it is an aggressive move for a backup and a possible trade chip next season before the trade deadline.
