Javonte's a really talented guy who got sapped by injury. He's a fringe NFLer at this point, but the Joneses are probably going to strap him up for 100 touches.

He was the 4th best back on the Athletic top 150.

I don’t mind the signing. He’s a cheap option and still runs with power in short yardage situations.

That said, if this is all we do and bypass a talented RB in the draft I’ll be infuriated.

The thing that confuses me is that in the 5th-7th rounds you can probably draft another RB and they would be probably at least as able and cheaper. But ok.

There is absolutely no guarantee of that. Why do our fans act like every fifth-round pick is going to be even an adequate NFL player? You might hit on one, but the odds are less than 50 percent.

Yep, only difference is the Cowboys roll out this flex on day 1, lol. Look I don't think it's a terrible signing, but while most other teams are making an attempt to get better we're signing players that may not even be as good as the guy they're replacing.

This is my issue as well.

This signing? Doesn’t hurt you and can definitely help.

But when it’s most likely 1 of the 2-3 signings you make it shows you have these idiots operate..

That's who I wanted them to go for. Every year over 5 yards per carry except last year when he was trying to come back from injury. A year removed (although he did break his foot last year) and let's see what he can do.

Of course, he'll still be more expensive than what our front office wants to spend in FA.

with all the action today, this is the guy we had a priority for.
