James played in four games for Langston in 2012, collecting two interceptions before suffering an injury that caused him to miss the remainder of the season. James had previously played at Nevada and Cincinnati during his college career.

James was dismissed from the team at Nevada last year after he was arrested for driving under the influence and careless driving.

Malik James has to take a long hard route before arriving at Langston University an NAIA school. Malik was a very highly recruited defensive back coming out of high school. He originally signed with Cincinnati before leaving the program. After spending time with both Cincinnati and Nevada, Malik ended up at Langston University trying to change his life around and get it back on track. Well the young man has done, just that. He had several great games for Langston and proved he is ready to make an impact for NFL scouts. The 6’0, 195 pound Cali native is ready to make an impact.

He ran 4.28 40, 4.41 shuttle but only a 7.82 3cone drill. He seems to lack agility which is a problem for a CB. NO vertical and only 9-9 broad jump makes me wonder about explosiveness.

Not a bad player to bring in and assess.

I worry he is just a straight line player.

He tried out for the Texans and they passed on him.

I believe this might be just for getting a fast kick returner.

No it's not. He is simply a camp body. They don't have a roster spot for just a returner. All kick returners will be primary game day backups and this guy is not getting anywhere near a high spot on the CB depth chart.

You're saying Moore is secure as the 5th CB? I think there will be evaluation and there is potential for this guy. If he is a great kick returner, I think he can make the team, but who knows how good he is, because even I don't.

Yep. I don't fall for a 4.3 40 time. Moore played well last year and can play safety as well. This guy is not taking his roster spot to return kicks.

There has to be something wrong with those times. Sometimes the measureables just don't fit, like Dez running a 4.52 forty. A 7.82 3-cone for a guy than ran a 4.28 forty seems almost impossible. That's only a middle-of-the-road 3-cone time for an OLineman. It's always possible that he had never practiced the drill or ran the forty 1st and then pulled something before running the other drills.

They listed one OLineman as have 9 reps on the bench; however, he was injured while doing the bench; therefore, the number is really not accurate.

I think the team was really happy with Moore, and it showed in his playing time.

Now, anybody can backslide, and, if he does, he'll be replaced. But right now, I think he's a definite candidate for nickel snaps and will be a contender for reps as a single-high Safety, too.

I really liked what Moore gave us last season.

Moore would need to be a colossal training camp flop to be cut-team seems to love him and frankly he deserved the accolades given how he performed late in the season.
