Waht does this do with regard to Glenn? They're allowed to take 80 players to camp. Does this mean somebody gets cut if Glenn signs?

no, because technically Glenn is still a Cowboy. His contract is not up yet. Not sure when, but Jerry wanted him to sign this new one with the injury clause and until he does, he is not being allowed to participate in any Cowboy activities.

We had a guy named Chris Kratz who ran the 40 in 4.4 ... and then that speedster started dealing crack and he actually got to put that good speed to the test against the police... turns out he wasn't fast enough to out run a squad car and got 7 years for distribution. Speed don't mean a thing if you don't know how to use it.

I would think that Glenn is already counting against the roster. He is under contract.

If he doesn't sign the modified version that ownership wants he'll be released at which point it will free up a roster spot.

That's my unofficial take anyway...

I actually watched this kid play in several preseason games with KC. At the time I was thinking he looked like a good project QB to try to develope.

I thought he actually showed some potential and looked better than Croyle.

Not real flashy but very good at the fundamentals and had a very accurate arm.

bloggingtheboys.com is reporting that the Cowboys have signed QB Jeff Tarrant to replace Khari Long, the player the Cowboys cut last evening/late this morning. The Cowboys looked at him in the offseason. He was coached in school by one of Garrett's brother and also attended/played at Princeton. Assume he's camp folder unless he somehow shows more then Bartel. Apparently

He's just passing through, this guy who was coached by the brother of the O coach.
