Cowboys source, Cowboys close to deal with Osa $21 Million a year

The narrative from our FO is that we dont want our own players to hit FA so we dont get into a bidding war.

So we offer them exaggerated contracts which they wouldnt even get on the free market.

Good job SJ! Always nice to make business with you.

So between Osa and Spotrac's estimate of Parsons deal Dallas could be looking at over 60 million a year for these two
Let's see:

Dak 60
Lamb 34
Diggs 21
Osa 21
Parsons 35(esti, prolly low)

That's 171 mil. Salary cap will be around 275 mil for 25.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, that leaves 100 mil for the next 17 starters. That's 5.8 mil per player. Nope. Just, nope. That means you'll have JAGs(or worse) at at least 5-6 positions.

Won't work, has never worked, will never work.

I will be so pissed off when this happens.

Talk about paying mediocrity.

It's dumb. It's asinine. It lacks any hint of intelligence. So it will happen.
Osa is a rotational piece at best but disappears for far to much for my likings even in that role. Paying him to stay must entail a sure fire plan for him one would think.

We don't owe Micah a damn thing. He hasn't done anything meaningful that tells me he's worthy of the big bag. If he feels slighted if we sign OSA, tough crap. He's not TJ Watt...not even close. That guy has earned respect. Not Micah.

Micah plays just like a linebacker that thinks he's an all world edge rusher/end. Chew on that.

Hopefully they won't neglect DT early on with such a strong draft class this year. Last year was especially good for WRs and we missed out.

LET'S GET THIS BOWL
