Cowboys source, Cowboys close to deal with Osa $21 Million a year

You are absolutely nuts. They can sign whoever they want and signing a top free agent dtackle is a good move. Osa is ranked at 7th overall at NFL.com and is the top dtackle available at PFF.
No, they cannot sign whomever they want. Silly take.

I'm with those old enough to remember being told that Osa's 2024 had been less than satisfying. So, yeah, count me surprised by this development.

Jalen Carter demands double and triple teams on just about every play. He makes everyone else around him better. Milton Williams and Josh Sweat should send him a percentage of their new paychecks, since they benefited from this.
Jalen Carter will be demanding a huge contract when he becomes eligible 12 months from now.

You'd love it even if they gave him 51 mil.

If this doesn’t happen, the same voices complaining about the Cowboys making this deal will be complaining that they didn’t.

You are still posting rubbish.

Go home, learn something and dont come back until something meaningful hit you.

I don't know about double teams, but ESPN has Odighizuwa 12th among DTs in pass rush win rate (Milton Williams was sixth) at 11%. Two (Chris Smith, DeForest Buckner) were tied for first at 16%. And not in the top 10 in run stop win rate. (Ten was all ESPN shows, with the best of that group 46% and worst 38%)
FWIW ESPN has OSA at a 60% pass rush double team rate. PFF has him at a 44% run play double team rate, although they havent updated their numbers through the end of the season. I still dont completely trust the stat without knowing the definition around it, but both are above average which is good to see. It doesnt tell us what type of double teams he is facing, it also doesnt tell us how well or poorly he handles the double teams, but it does acknowledge that teams are not just throwing the kitchen sink at Micah and OSA is racking up numbers from constant 1v1s. OSA seems to be drawing attention as well.
