Cowboys Stadium Tailgating

Hi cowboys fans. I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask this. Please move it if it is. I was hoping some of you could help me with questions about tailgating.

Primarily my concern is setting up chairs and a grill before the Big XII title game. Once everyone is parked, can you then set up or do you absolutely have to move onto grass. I cant believe they wouldnt let you guys tailgate but I am trying to find out everything ahead of time to avoid headaches.

Also, do people usually show up before the gates open and just park outside of them? Is that allowed? Any help is greatly appreciated.

i have no idea what the rules will be for the college game saturday.

i do know "tailgating" parking passes cost more than a regular pass for this game so it seems they may not allow tailgating in areas other than the ones sold.

i also know at cowboys games they have started letting people put their chairs and coolers beside/behind their cars in the lot ( not in tailgate spots)
so maybe they are not going to be so strict.

they have been allowing you to line up outside the gates prior to them opening up for cowboys games but i have no idea if they will for this game.

not much help i know, i have some of the same questions for saturday.

Hey poke, thanks for the info. My sister in Austin bought the parking pass so who knows. My only tailgating experience at an NFL game has been at Arrowhead in KC and it sounds like you cant even approach that kind of tailgating at new cowboys stadium. I'll hope for the best. Thanks for the help.

i actually think its going to be a great tailgate this saturday.

i like the new setup for Cowboys games, the perimeter spots are great.

Thanks guys. Well I know were in Lot 11 and when my sister called their guest service line, the lady told her Lot 11 is a tailgating lot so I guess were ok. Thanks again

like i said for this college game, your parking pass specifies it is for a tailgating spot, should say Lot 11 T.

for the Cowboys its first come first served, apparently not so for the Big 12 game.
